Age 60, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025 at his home.

Affectionately known as “Papi” to his grandchildren, Wayne was born on April 6, 1965, in Cheektowaga, NY, son of the late Vincent and Carol Dembik Venezia Sr. Wayne worked as a dietary supervisor at Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was a sports enthusiast and avid Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills fan. Wayne was a season ticket holder for thirty-seven years with the Buffalo Bills. He coached Little League Baseball, and youth soccer in Warsaw, as well as modified soccer at Warsaw Central School. He enjoyed traveling, and Italy was his favorite place to visit. Wayne was most passionate about his family and the culinary arts, often combining the two things. Family gatherings were always a happy time for Wayne as he got to show off his love for both.

Along with his parents, Wayne is predeceased by his aunts, Denise Venezia and Cathy Patruzo; his best friend, Patrick Skill.

He’s survived by his wife, Kelly Whaley Venezia of Warsaw; his children, Sha Venezia of Cohocton, Michael Venezia of Warsaw, Angela (Alex) VanderPloeg of Bliss; his brothers, Shawn (Brenda) Venezia of West Seneca, Vincent (Lori) Venezia of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Deven, Aaron, Vincent, Bentley “Goomba I”, Elliott “Goomba II”; his close friends, Rhonda Skill and Dan Bellaire.

No formal services will be held for Wayne. A private burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Warsaw. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
