Thomas Robert Irwin Sr. of Warsaw NY, passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2025 at Absolute Care of Aurora Park. He was the son of the late Donald Irwin and Elizabeth VanBuren Amburgey.
Tom served in the United States Army from February 3, 1971, to January 31, 1973. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Tom was employed with Specialized Printed Forms in Caledonia as a Machine Operator in the Colater Department for over 30 years. Tom was also employed with Fairview Paper Box in Warsaw for a few years before he retired.
Tom was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, and bowler. He loved hunting with his family. He taught his sons Tom and Blake as well as his grandson Nick. He also loved to go down to PA to hunt with his brother-in-law Jon Howland. He bowled for many years in leagues with his wife Susan, oldest son Tom Jr., his longtime friend Volkert Whiting, and most recently his grandson Nick. Tom had a Harley which he would ride on many trips with his son Blake. He would take his daughter Stefanie and grandson Owen for rides whenever they were visiting. Tom enjoyed fishing in many tournaments with his cousin Tom Uptegrove Jr.
Tom is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Susan Irwin.
Surviving are his sons Thomas (Jennifer) Irwin Jr. of Warsaw, NY, Blake (Kelly) Irwin of Virginia Beach, VA, his daughter Stefanie Irwin (Donnie Harnas) of Adams, NY, his sisters, Patricia Cygan (Irwin) the late Anthony (Skeeter) Cygan of Conroe, TX, Robin (Steve) Herman of Montgomery TX. Nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Courtney, Makayla, Tyler, Taylor, Owen, Alayna, Jaxon, and Skyler. One great grandson, Coleson.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
