He was born on January 5, 1933 in Warsaw, son of the late John and Tina Palumbo Alfieri. Tom worked for many years at Morton Salt in Silver Springs, first as a laborer before becoming an electrician. He was an avid deer hunter and archer, as well as a member of the Wyoming Conservation Association in Dale, NY where he would go to do some skeet shooting.

Along with his parents, Tom is predeceased by his wife of fifty-five years, Sharron Morris Alfieri, who passed away in 2022; his brother, Joe Alfieri and his sister, Dorothy Cofield.
