Steven D. Tillotson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve “Tilly” Tillotson. Steve was born in Warsaw, New York on May 16, 1961. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with lung cancer and passed on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by two sons, Nicholas Tillotson, his partner Danielle Kates and his granddaughter Violet, and son Noah Tillotson, as well as by his mother, Pat Thomas, his sister, Lisa Hamilton, and his brother Jim Blanc. Also, the mothers of his sons, Maureen Tillotson and Amy Farrell.

Steve graduated from Warsaw School where he was captain of the wrestling team. Following graduation, he developed his culinary craft by working with other accomplished chefs, attending classes at the Culinary Institute of America, as well as chef development programs. Tilly enjoyed working at the Glen Iris Inn for over thirty years with its “large group of interesting and talented people.”

What was most meaningful in his life was being at home with family, friends, and pets. His hobbies included metal detecting, tinkering with small engines, fishing, coin collecting and scratch offs!

The family would like to invite friends to join us for a Celebration of Life event on November 2, 2025 at the Glen Iris Inn from 1-3pm…You all know what a great sense of humor Tilly had so bring your good stories to share!

In lieu of flowers, donations to Pike Volunteer Fire Department would be greatly appreciated!
