Age 64, of Warsaw, passed away on March 4, 2022 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.
He was born May 14, 1957 in Batavia, NY, son of the late Frederick and Helen Spencer Conway. Steve spent his early years on Georges Drive in Attica where he worked as a paper delivery boy while gaining a passion for sports. He participated in various athletic programs throughout the county and was a standout in football and wrestling. Following high school graduation, Steve served his country in the United States Navy.
Following his military service, Steve returned to live in Johnsonburg where he started a family with Kathy and worked the family farm. Following his move to Warsaw, he added to his family and became the ultimate stay at home dad. Steven was family first. He will be remembered by many for his sense of humor and lighthearted pranks. Those qualities endeared him to his neighbors, even if the music coming from the house was a bit too loud. His yard was always a place where the neighborhood children were welcome to come to play. He was a dad, grandpa and The Old Man to all.
Family and friends cherished Steve. His family would like him to be remembered as a man of peace, love and community. He is never truly gone because of the influence he had on others and will continue to have even after his passing.
