Sean P. Salmon

Age 54, of Varysburg, passed away on August 17, 2025 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born on November 30, 1970 in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late Thomas and Holly Keane Salmon. Sean worked as a cook at Byrncliff Golf Resort and Banquets. He got his start in food service as a busboy in Naples, FL and eventually worked his way into being a sous chef at Kelly Greens Country Club where he met his wife Candy. Sean’s career took him to many country clubs in the Gulf Coast of Florida before moving with his family to Varysburg. He was also an avid blacksmith and would often be found doing demonstrations at Erie County Fair.

Sean is survived by his wife, Candy Salmon; his children, Brandon (Julia) Becker, Dana Smith, Casey Salmon, Conner Salmon, and Caylee Salmon; his grandchildren, Ryder and Sage; his uncle, John Salmon.

Sean’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 12-4 PM at the Varysburg Fire Hall, 2446 Rt. 20A, Varysburg.
