Norris R. Rowley

Age 72, of Silver Springs, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2024 at Wyoming County Community Hospital.

Norris was born May 20, 1952 in Dansville, NY, son of Norris and Carol Miller Rowley. He worked for the NYS Department of Corrections, earning his way up the ranks through the years before retiring in 2008. Norris was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and trap. He had a thirst for knowledge of all things outdoors and wanted to share it with anyone he could. Norris would eventually volunteer his time as an archery instructor for 4-H as well as teaching youngsters basic outdoor skills. Norris was a very active member of the Baptist Church of Perry. He had a great faith in God that was reflected in his love for his family. Norris was a caring father that always put his family first and a proud grandfather who couldn’t get enough of his grandchildren.

Norris is predeceased by his brother Roger Rowley.

Surviving along with his parents are his loving wife of 45 years, Lynne Johnson Rowley of Silver Springs; his sons, Adam (Raena) Rowley of Silver Springs, Mike (Katlin) Rowley of Narrowsburg, NY, Josh (Alanah) Rowley of Marilla, NY; his sister, Christina Mattice of Springwater, NY; his grandchildren, Eden, Lydia, Brynn, Viola and Jonathan; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, aunts, many close cousins and numerous friends.

Friends may call on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A memorial service will be held for Norris on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1 PM at the Baptist Church of Perry, 77 N. Main St., Perry.
