Melissa L. Ziegenbein

In loving memory of Melissa Lee Ziegenbein

February 6, 1990 – April 29, 2025

Melissa Lee Ziegenbein came into this world like a beautiful star on February 6, 1990, in Santa Rosa, CA, bringing light, laughter, and boundless love to all who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of Ron Ziegenbein (wife Candy) and Carol Crandal (husband Ken).

Melissa shared a close and loving relationship with her siblings: Courtney Ziegenbein (husband Steve) of Modesto, CA, Skylar Poe (wife Leah) of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Christopher Metzger of Crescent City, CA, Jordan Aldrich (wife Heather) of Warsaw, NY, Nikki Antionovich (husband Darren) of Manteca, CA and Matt Crandal (wife Hayley) of Turlock, CA. She is also survived by her grandparents Jim and Mickey Ziegenbein, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous dear friends that were like family to her.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Dale and Alice Roslosnik.

A 2008 graduate of Eureka High School, Melissa went on to fulfill her dream by graduating from cosmetology school in 2019. She dedicated her career to customer service, where her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and caring heart touched everyone she encountered.

Melissa loved people and had a special passion for cooking, often expressing her creativity through food. She enjoyed sketching and drawing, watching her favorite movies and shows, and was an avid fan of comedy. She adored all things Disney and was truly our princess - sweet, spirited, and full of wonder. More than anything, she treasured the time spent with her family and friends.

Music was her heartbeat, and singing brought her soul to life. Country music, in particular, was her passion - whether singing along or dancing in the kitchen, her voice carried warmth and joy.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Warsaw, New York, Melissa’s brilliant star suddenly faded from our world. Though her light is no longer here, its glow remains in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of life will be held in California, with details to be announced. Melissa’s vibrant spirit, kind heart, and radiant presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
