Age 91, of Perry, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at Suzanne’s Comfort Care in Perry.
She was born on September 7, 1934, in Belmont, NY, daughter of the late Maxie and Clarissa Rice Clark. Maxine worked for many years as the head cook at Warsaw Central School. She enjoyed playing bridge and antiquing. Maxine was an avid golfer and was a member of the Silver Lake Country Club for fifty years, including being past president of the club’s Women’s Association. She was also known to be a fierce competitor, especially when competing in her bowling league, but Maxine might be most famous for her pies. If you were ever lucky enough to receive one from her you knew you had also gained a new friend. In her later years she enjoyed going to Florida for the winters. Maxine’s greatest joy though, came from the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maxine is predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Rosamonde Persutti, Carolyn Abbott, Forrest Clark, Bernard Clark, and Lawrence Clark.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, John Fendick of Perry; her sons, Kenneth Fendick of New York, NY, Thomas Fendick of Cape Corral, FL; her grandchildren, John Fendick, Derrick Fendick, and Devin Fendick; her great-grandchildren, Trenton, Logan, and Natalie.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Maxine’s funeral mass will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 171 N Main St., Warsaw, NY. Burial will be held immediately following her funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Perry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Suzanne’s Comfort Care, 167 N. Main St., Perry, NY 14530 or at www.suzannescomfortcare.org/donate.
