Martha Slusser, born May 20, 1948, of Gainesville, passed away on March 17, 2026, at Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was the daughter of Mary Lou and the late Ray Wood.
She is predeceased by her father; her husband, Dennis Slusser, and brother-in-law, Harlan Allen.
Martha is survived by her daughters Julie (Earl) Wolcott and Jill (Shawn Stenson) Slusser; her grandchildren Nate (Claire Raleigh) Goodrich, Gabi Goodrich and Adam Stenson; her sisters Nancy (Bob) Beyer, Rachel (Stan) Standera, Mary Allen, and brother Tom (Ann) Wood; and nieces and nephews Jessica Wahr, Joshua Beyer, Mark Beyer, and Chelsie Mantelli.
Martha worked at Champion Products in Perry and most recently H&R Block in Warsaw.
Martha had a booming personality and a matching voice. Everyone she met definitely remembered her. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, shooting pool at Smiths, family vacations, and adventures with the Corning Buds. She also enjoyed making crafts. Most of all, Martha loved spending time with her family and friends; especially, her grandchildren who made her very proud.
No services will be held at this time for Martha. A celebration of her life will take place at the Silver Lake Sportsmen’s Club on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2 PM - 4 PM.
