Linda Charlotte (Bader) Carney 30 December 1943 – 29 October 2022
Linda Charlotte (Bader) Carney of Warsaw passed away on 29 October 2022 at the age of 78 after a brief series of illnesses. She was surrounded by her children at the time. Linda was born on 30 December 1943 in Buffalo, New York. She was raised in Kenmore, and later Lime Lake, NY by her adoptive parents, Harry, and Hazel (Hickman) Bader.
Linda was a trained X-Ray Technician, and worked at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, and later for New York State at the Attica Correctional Facility in that capacity, before retiring in 2007. She loved traveling, especially to see her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending summers camping out of her RV kept at the Woodstream Campsite. Her interests included puzzles and games that kept her mind sharp, reading, her church, spending time gathering and dining with friends, and the occasional trip to the casino, where she always seemed to come home a winner. She was active in the local Moose Club for many years, serving as an Officer in the organization, and volunteering her time to the club’s operation and activities. Linda was an avid sports fan, but usually more of individual players rather than teams, except in the case of following the New York Yankees.
Linda is survived by her children: daughter Sue (Dave) Fladie, son Edward (Veronica) Carney; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; along with brother Reid (Alice) Bader. She was preceded in death by husband Bruce Carney.
Linda requested that no formal service be held for her, but the immediate family may announce an informal gathering for family and friends to celebrate her life at a later date.
