Joseph W. Lee

Age 89, was born at home on July 10, 1937, in Wyoming, NY to Margaret and Raymond Lee. He passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2026, after a long, fulfilling life.

Joe worked for 35yrs with RG&E and devoted over 70 years to Volunteer Fire Service. Joe would always greet you with a big smile, a sparkle in his eye and a happy laugh. When he wasn’t at Wyoming Hook & Ladder, you could find him at home mowing lawn.

Joe is survived by his daughters; Jody (Kent) Breslin, Jamie (John Kujawski) Lee and Sarah Flint, his grandchildren; Claire Breslin and Joseph (Emma Heubusch) Breslin, his brother; Roland Lee, his in-laws; Jay, Joni, Marla and Carlotta Jinks, Mary Ann Tyler and Anthony LaRosa.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife; Janice Lefevre Lee and his siblings; Jim (twin), Jack, Shirley and Juanita.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joe’s name are greatly appreciated and may be made to the Wyoming Hook & Ladder or Home Care & Hospice Community Care of Western New York, Inc.

There will be a Formal Firefighter’s Service on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10 am at the Wyoming Hook & Ladder, 26 Maple St., Wyoming, NY. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 1-4 pm at the Wyoming Hook & Ladder.
