Joan R. Sherman

Age 66, of Wyoming, passed away at home on April 28, 2025.

She was born on September 14, 1958 in Warsaw, NY to the late Edward Relf and Doris Relf Elliott. Joan was a graduate of Wyoming Central School Class of 1976. She was a devout parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Pavilion. Joan loved gardening.

Along with her parents, Joan is predeceased by her first husband, Art Stothers who passed away on January 27, 1989 and her second husband, David Sherman who passed away on July 18, 2023. She was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Joan is survived by her sister, Carol Griffith of Williamsville; niece, Jennifer Griffith; nephew, Kevin (Jennifer) Griffith and his kids, Joshua, Matthew, Victoria, and Teresa; aunts, Clara and Letha; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stella and Harold Sherman; several cousins; many friends and neighbors.

Friends may call Friday, May 23rd from 4 pm to 8pm at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A Memorial Mass will be held for Joan on Saturday, May 24th at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 11095 St. Mary’s St., Pavilion. Private burial will be held at Wyoming Cemetery.
