SILVER SPRINGS/ROCHESTER — Jason L. Bush, age 52, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital. In a final, profound act of kindness that defined his generous spirit, Jason gave the gift of life to others as an organ donor.

Born on May 14, 1973, in Batavia, NY, Jason was the son of Robert (Cheryl) Bush and Kim Rogers. A longtime resident of the Silver Springs area, Jason was known as a man who could fix just about anything. He spent many years as a skilled auto body technician and painter, where his meticulous nature and talent for restoration shone through

To know Jason was to know his humor. He was funny, quick-witted, and possessed a rare ability to always make those around him laugh, even in the toughest moments. His life was defined by the things he loved—he was happiest working with his hands, whether he was under the hood of a car, tinkering with a broken gadget, or out "antiqing" in search of a unique find. He loved the freedom of the open road and spent countless hours driving, often with a heavy metal soundtrack providing the energy for his journey. When he wasn't on the move, he could often be found by the water with a fishing rod, enjoying a quiet moment of peace. Jason was an active and valued member of the C.H.O.I.C.E.S. group in Yorkshire, NY.

He is survived by his parents, Robert (Cheryl) Bush of Geneseo and Kim Rogers of Perry; his brother, Mark Bush of Salem, NH; and his sister, Jessica (Stephen, Jr.) Morsch of Geneseo. He was a proud uncle to his nieces, Marissa Bush of Seneca, SC. and Sophia and Savannah Morsch of Geneseo. He leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

He was Predeceased by his younger brother, Jared Bush; His Maternal Grandparents, his Paternal Grandparents and many of his dear friends. Services: In keeping with Jason’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life—filled with the music and stories he loved— will be held at a later date.

Memorials: The family suggests that those wishing to honor Jason’s memory consider a contribution to C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (PO Box 385, Yorkshire, NY 14173 or www.choicesinfo.com).

Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
