Janet M. Metcalf

Age 86, of Warsaw, passed away on June 18, 2025 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born on May 19, 1939 in Wadsworth, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Mowers Perkins. Janet was a graduate of Wyoming Central School, class of 1957. She worked for twenty-two years as a nurse’s aide and housekeeper at Wyoming County Community Hospital. Janet enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards.

Predeceased along with her parents are two sons, Curtis Metcalf and Darren Metcalf; and her brothers, Jim Perkins and William Perkins.

She is survived by her children, Teresa (Sabin) Hoad of Prattsburgh, NY, Lori (Vincent) Venezia of Warsaw, Patricia (Steven) Spencer of Attica, Gordon Metcalf of Warsaw, Wesley Metcalf of Warsaw; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 2-4 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. No memorial service will or burial will be scheduled.
