James C. "Jim" Royce, 87, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 18, 1939, in Warsaw, Jim was the son of the late Carlton and Mary (Murtha) Royce. He was a graduate of Attica Central School and dedicated many years of service as an electrician at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

Jim had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. An avid golfer, he competed in numerous amateur and senior amateur tournaments in Florida, where he spent many enjoyable hours on the course. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw and was known among family and friends as an exceptional euchre player, once winning the New York State Moose Club Euchre Tournament.

Above all, Jim treasured his family. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially when everyone gathered together. His love, humor, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Donna Bowen Royce; his daughter, Debbie Royce; and his brother, Paul Royce Sr., and sister-in-law, Josie Royce.

He is survived by his daughter, LuAnn (Edward) Robinson of North Pole, Alaska; and his sons, James (Louise) Royce of Perry, Tim (Louise) Royce of Warsaw, Steve Royce of Warsaw, Mike (Vanassa) Royce of Gainesville, Jeff (Gail) Royce of Warsaw, and Dave (Susan) Royce of Warsaw. He also leaves behind twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in his life.
