James Robert "Jamie" Cummins

Age 54, of Warsaw, passed away on July 11, 2025 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on June 26, 1971 in Warsaw, the son of Kathy Colombo Cummins and the late Frank J. Cummins. Jamie was a graduate of Warsaw Central School, class of 1990 and was a Regional Manager with New York Chips. Jamie had a larger-than-life personality, and you couldn’t help but to be drawn to it in one way or another. He enjoyed all genres of music and was an avid concert goer with his cousin Bill. He liked to gamble, especially on scratch-offs and Jamie loved to tell stories. He also had a knack for putting on a show, whether it was a kickball tournament for charity or a softball tournament or a wrestling event at the village park. Jamie knew how to have a good time, and it showed while tailgating at Buffalo Bills games as a lifelong fan. He was also a die-hard fan of the Boston Red Sox. Above all, his greatest passion was his son, Nick. He loved to show him the world, give him the zest for life and show him the magic that Jamie saw. Their countless road trips to ball games, concerts and wrestling events were what he lived for.

Predeceased along with his father are his grandparents, James and Genevieve Colombo and Robert and Amy Cummins.

Jamie is survived by his son, Nicholas Cummins of Warsaw; his brother, Joe Cummins of Warsaw; his sister, Jen Cummins of Warsaw; his ex-wife, Cheryl Cummins of Warsaw; several aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends, the Jett family and the Hare family.

No formal services will be held for Jamie. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of life for Jamie will be held Sunday, October 12th at the Silverlake Country Club in Perry along with a golf tournament the same day. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a foundation, yet to be named, to be set up in Jamie’s memory by the family. Details in the future.
