Wethersfield - Hobert W. Williams, Sr., 82 of Wethersfield passed away on Thursday, (July 4, 2024) at Olean General Hospital in Olean.
Mr. Williams was born February 17, 1942 in Jollytown, Pennsylvania a son of the late James and Lulu (Church) Williams.
Hobert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a gifted mechanic who could fix anything on a tractor. Most of all, Hobert loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Hobert Williams, Jr. of Wethersfield, Regina Wright of North Carolina, Tammy (Chris) Barnhardt of Cuylerville, and Carla (Stuart) Rayner of Ohio. Several siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren also survive.
Along with his parents, Hobert is preceded in death by his wife (Violet (Mepham) Williams; son, Brian Williams; grandson, Michael A. Blakeslee; sister, Wilda Williams.
At Hobert's request there will be no services. A private graveside service will be held in Wethersfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter.
