Obituary

Silver Springs - Harry W. "Bill" Johnson, Jr., 72 of Silver Springs passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (July 7, 2026) at his home.

Bill was born June 20, 1954 in Warsaw, a son of the late Harry W. and Janice (Bush) Johnson, Sr.

Bill was a man of many talents, he loved to be outside cutting wood, hunting, farming and gardening. He grew a ridiculous amount of tomatoes and an annoying amount of peppers. For many years Bill drove bus at Letchworth Central School and at the Wyoming County Transit. However Bills true love was his family. Bill and Cindy were married over 44 years and faced all of life's challenges together. Bill loved his children but lost all dignity when he became a Grandpa, and he loved every second of it.

Surviving are his wife, Diane "Cindy" (Brotherton) Johnson of Silver Springs; children, Zachary (Brooke) Johnson of Silver Springs, Nicole Johnson of Castile, Natalie (Bryan) Cummings of Castile, and Megan (Adam) Moore of Silver Springs; grandchildren, Patience and Eric Burnett, Marshall Cummings, Madelyn Johnson, Juniper and Westley Moore; siblings, Bradley (Hellen) Johnson of Warsaw, and Kim (Dana) Walton of Wethersfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bill is reunited in death with his parents; grandchildren, Hazel and Theodore Moore; and sister, Robyn Johnson.

At Bill's request a private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wyoming County 4-H or Gainesville Public Library.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Robinson and
Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 North Main Street in Warsaw. Online messages of condolence may be left at www.robinsonandhackemer.com.
