Gloria A. Briggs

Age 89, of Warsaw, passed away on August 5, 2026, at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

She was born on July 23, 1937, in Amherst, NY, daughter of the late William and Sara Warner Perry. Gloria was a graduate of Fillmore High School class of 1956. After high school she found employment with the Eastman Kodak Company working in the dark room. She would also work for the Perry Knitting Company at their Fillmore location, Robeson Appliance in Castile, the Nunda Casket Company, and at Champion Products in Perry as a seamstress; as well as working as a cook for the Glen Iris, the Genesee Falls Inn, and for the Springville-Griffith Institute in Springville.

Gloria loved to sew and craft. She also enjoyed taking rides in the car, and visiting casinos and Letchworth State Park. She will be remembered by family and friends for being a wonderful mother, for being sweet and kind, and for always putting the needs of others ahead of her own.

She’s predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Lionel R. Briggs; a sister, Francis Carter; her brothers, Clifford Perry and Gerald Perry; a grandchild, Nicholas Abbott; a son-in-law, Eric Galton; a brother-in-law, Kirby Herman.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Randy) Freeman, Rebecca Wind, Victoria (Jesse Vanname) Galton; her son, Daniel (Amanda Davis) Briggs; a sister, Martha Herman; her brothers, Carl (Joanne) Perry, Peter (Carol) Simon; her grandchildren, Christopher, Troy, Ryan, Shawn, Shannon, Adam, Jacob, Travis, Haley, Annabeth, and Mia; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

No services are being held for Gloria. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
