Georgine M. Fisher, 65, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2026.
Born on April 3, 1961, in Buffalo, New York, Georgine was the daughter of the late George and Madeline (Brunner) Rayner. Following her high school graduation, she earned an associate degree in Business and went on to build a career dedicated to helping others. She worked at Wyoming County Community Hospital as a nursing scheduler and at Ohri Medical Group.
Georgine found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who enjoyed cross-stiching and had a well-known love of shoes. She was one of the best home cooks, with a speciality of baked rice! Penguins were her favorite animal, and she looked forward each year to Thanksgiving, the annual Fourth of July Parade in Warsaw, and visits to the Broadway Market for Easter specialities. She was deeply interested in genealogy and spent countless hours researching her family's history and ancestry.
Above all else, Georgine cherished her family. The greatest happiness in her life came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends. She treasured every moment with her loved ones. She especially loved being “Gigi” to her beloved grandsons James, Oliver, and Connor and going on outings to Wegmans, the library, and dinner dates with them.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jack Fisher; her daughters, Jillian (Brian) Kerwin of Pavilion and Emily Fisher of Warsaw; her sons, Derek (Chelsea) Fisher of Warsaw, Josh (Autumn) Fisher of Tennessee, and Jacob Fisher (Don Bakowski) of Elma; her grandchildren, James Fisher, Oliver Kerwin, and Connor Kerwin; her sisters, Susan (John) O’Brien of Oregon, Chris Rayner of Arizona, and Amy (Joe) Meyer of Strykersville; her brothers, Michael (Luz) Rayner of Missouri, David (Melanie) Rayner of Strykersville, and Joseph (Faith) Rayner of Clarence; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Georgine was predeceased by her sister, Cathy (Nicholas) Plakis; and her niece, Jada Beechler.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main Street, Warsaw. A Fireman’s Salute will be held at 6:45 p.m., followed by Georgine’s funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
