Georgette "Georgie" L. Higgins

Age 72, of North Java, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

She was born on December 30, 1952, in Buffalo, daughter of the late Robert and Jean Cosgrove Higgins Sr. Georgie spent her whole life caring for others. She worked at the Lord Of Life Child Development Center in Depew for many years. Georgie loved the children she cared for there and they loved her. She would later become CNA and worked at Aurora Park in East Aurora for over thirty years as well. She was an active member of the Baker Memorial Methodist Church in East Aurora and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Charlotte House in North Java. Georgie loved to travel, listen to music, and express her artistic side through drawing.

She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Mike Higgins; her sister and brother-in-law, Lori (Dave) Kelly; a nephew, Benny Higgins.

Georgie is survived by her sisters, Jeanne (Joe) DiLiberto, Mary (Roy) Smalley; her brothers, Bob Higgins Jr., Joe (Sue) Higgins, Bill (Pat) Higgins, Jim (Fely) Higgins; many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be held for Georgie. Her memorial service will be held on December 27, 2025, at 11AM at the Holy Family Parrish, 4316 Rt 98, North Java. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charlotte House, 4316 Rt 98, North Java, NY 14113.
