Age 81, of Warsaw, passed away on October 21, 2026, at Eastside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw.
He was born on December 31, 1944, in Warsaw, son of the late Donald and Ella Campbell Vallance. Gary worked as an iron worker for many years with the Ironworkers Local 6 out of Buffalo. Gary went on to proudly start a very successful fencing business called Custom Fence of WNY, located in Holland, NY, as well as running his own maple syrup business, Gary’s Sugar Shack in Portageville. He volunteered his time with the Pike Fire Department and Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and specifically, Peter Pan peanut butter. He was also an avid Yankees fan. Gary was very well respected for his work ethic and completing projects the right way.
He is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Suzanne (Bill) Anderson; a granddaughter, Marissa Kay Ikeler.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Darcie (Ronald) Ikeler of Silver Springs; his son Anthony (Lisa) Vallance of Pavilion; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the Cloisters Assisted Living Facility, Wyoming County Community Hospital and Eastside Nursing Facility for the wonderful care they showed Gary.
A graveside service will be held for Gary on November 7, 2026, at 12pm at East Koy Cemetery, Pike. Immediately following his graveside service, a celebration of Gary’s life will be held at the Pike Masonic Triluminar Lodge No. 543 F.&A.M., 55 Main St, Pike.
