Gary Almeter

Age 66, of Perry, passed away on November 5, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital.

Gary was born on July 21, 1959, in Warsaw, son of the late Robert and Isabel Bartz Almeter. He worked as a millworker for Blue Seal in Arcade. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed scrapping metal. Gary most loved the time he spent with his grandchildren though.

He is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Vicky Baker.

Gary is survived by his wife, Kim Almeter of Perry; his children, Anthony Almeter of Prattsburgh, NY, Andrea (David) Hutchinson of Warsaw, Alyssa (Rick) Lamparelli of Silver Creek, NY, Aaron Almeter of Attica; his sisters, Gail (Mark) Flint of Castile, Roberta Salvador of Warsaw, Georgette Griffith of Varysburg, Donna Upton of Summerfield, FL, Theresa (John) Van Buren of Warsaw; his brothers, Keith (Linda) Almeter of Silver Springs, Bob (Betsy) Almeter of Bristol, VT, Steve (Diane) Almeter of Warsaw, Gordon (Karen) Almeter of Bliss; his step-children, Ryan Sowrey of Ellicotville, NY, Ross (Skyler) Sowrey of Randolph, NY, Randal Sowrey of Cassadaga, NY; his grandchildren, Adeline, Jacoby, Aiden, Paul, Dawson, and Audrey; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

No public services will be held for Gary. Private burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Warsaw.
