Elizabeth A. Cichocki

Age 97, of Castile, passed away on May 11, 2024 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

She was born on July 25, 1926 in Batavia, NY to the late Julius and Genevieve Dunham Weldgen. Elizabeth was a member of St. Isidore’s Parish, St. Mary’s Church site in Silver Springs. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, held many offices in the church, and worked every church function.

Elizabeth was a charter member of the Silver & Gold Club in Castile. She also coordinated many bus tours throughout the years and sang at nursing homes for many years. Elizabeth was an amazing crafter.

She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Cichocki who passed away in 2015 and her sister, Mary Dziuba.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Gayle (Mark) Bush of Hudson Falls, Kathy (Dennis) Cardino of Florida, Thelma (Harold) Lockwood of Texas, Diane (Tom) Stroud of Batavia, Theresa (Joel) Chastek of Rochester; brother, Msgr. Francis Weldgen of North Tonawanda; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 15^th from 4pm to 7pm at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Elizabeth’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 16^th at 10:30 am at St. Isidore’s Parish, St. Mary’s Church site, Silver Springs. Private burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia.
