Douglas N. Scott

Age 67, a lifelong resident of Castile, passed away on February 1, 2021 at Rochester General Hospital.

He was born September 2, 1953 in Warsaw, NY, son of the late Kenneth and Ruth Scott.
Douglas was a graduate of Letchworth Central School. He worked for many years at Morton Salt Company and enjoyed carpentry and masonry on the side. Douglas had a unique sense of humor and a kind heart and was known to give you the shirt off his back. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing and baseball. Douglas played the French horn and mellophone for the Tri Town Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a dedicated Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan.

Surviving along with his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Wendy Aubert Scott, whom he married on July 1, 1972 are his children, Tanya (Brett) Smith of Yorkshire, Shane (Ricci) Scott of Castile; his grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Trinity, Charity, Takota, Joseph and Trey; his siblings, Gloria (Daryl) Dembowski of Wethersfield, Paul (Abbey) Scott of Castile, Clifton (Carol) Scott of Silver Springs, Carol (the late Russ) Casselberry of Silver Springs, Thomas (Bonnie) Scott of Castile; brothers-in-law, Mark Aubert of Silver Springs, Doug Aubert of Silver Lake; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Peter Scott and brother of the late Michael Scott and Steven Scott.

Friends may call Thursday, February 11 from 1 – 3 & 5 – 8PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13 at 5 PM at the Old Paths Chapel in Perry, NY. He will be sadly missed by all. Due to Covid 19 precautions, funeral home capacity is limited to 33% and facemasks are required. Thank you for your cooperation.
