Age 98, of Warsaw, passed away on June 1, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw following a brief illness.
She was born December 26, 1922 in Jamestown, NY daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Ingerson Ingleson. Anne was employed for many years as a secretary in the Guidance Department at Warsaw Central School prior to her retirement in 1985. A talented musician, she taught piano for many years as well. In earlier years, Anne served as a secretary at Weeks Funeral Home and then with the former Oatka Vault Company in Warsaw.
Anne was a longtime member of the Warsaw First United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the church choir. She enjoyed being a member of the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club in Warsaw and the Interfaith Caregivers. She was an avid golfer, Buffalo Bills fan and Detroit Tigers fan. Anne attended the State University of New York at Fredonia and the University of Michigan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Thompson who passed away in 1998.
Surviving are her children, William Jeffrey Thompson of North Carolina, Peter B. (Judy) Thompson of Alexander, Kerry M. (Doreen) Thompson of Warsaw, M. Kate (Robert) Kreger of Geneseo; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Olive Collins and William Ingleson and mother-in-law to the late Annette Thompson and Jill Thompson.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 25 at 11 AM at the Warsaw First United Methodist Church, 6 West Court St., Warsaw. Private burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Warsaw First United Methodist Church, 6 West Court St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
