Donald K. Rogers

Age 68, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 24, 2026, at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry.

He was born on September 16, 1957, in Gowanda, NY, son of the late Gilfred and Norma Sponholz Rogers. Don was a graduate of Warsaw Central School, class of 1976, and he worked for twenty-five years as a corrections officer at Groveland Correctional Facility, retiring in 2009. Don was an excellent carpenter and after retiring from corrections he found a second calling. Don would take on many home renovation projects, and his impeccable craftsmanship became very well known around the area. Don was also known for being a bit of a socializer who could and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, whether he knew you or not. He was often referred to by his family as “Mr. Friendly”. Don was also an avid deer hunter and enjoyed antiquing.

He is predeceased by his parents and his sibling, Lee Casselberry.

Don is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Glenda Welch Rogers of Warsaw; his daughters, Kelly (Adam Cornell) Rogers of Silver Springs, Holly Rogers of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Josh Flint of Warsaw, Jared Flint of Warsaw, Justin Flint of Silver Springs, Liam Magin of Silver Springs, Porter Jensen of Gilbert, AZ, Kendell Sheppard of Gilbert, AZ; his brother, Tom Rogers of Buffalo.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 3-7pm at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A celebration of life for Don will be held at a date to be determined.
