Dennis Edward Powers

Age 73, of Perry, passed away on April 24, 2026, at Highland Hospital in Rochester.

He was born on September 19, 1952, in Warsaw, son of the late John and Elaine McGill Powers. Dennis was a graduate of Warsaw Central School class of 1970. After graduating school he served our country in the United States Army and worked various trades until he retired. Dennis was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for the Bills, Sabres, and Yankees. He also loved listening to classic rock music. Dennis will be most remembered though for his dry, witty, sense of humor.

He is predeceased by his parents and his fiancé, Kimberly Walters Prial.

Dennis is survived by his son, Michael (Cheyanne) Powers of Pavilion; his daughter, Emily Powers of Gainesville; his sisters, Valerie Helm of Wyoming, Lois (Ray) King of Silver Springs; his grandchildren, Emah, Calvin, and Zayne Powers; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1-3 pm at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to A New Start Kitty Shelter, 6342 Denton Corners Rd, Castile, NY 14427.
