David P. McIntyre, born May 6th, 1951, passed away peacefully at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home on February 3rd, 2024. “Big Mac,” as he was known, loved life and was a laugh enthusiast. He was a highly intelligent lover of all learning, a great storyteller and fiercely loyal friend. In his early years, he played football, ran track, was active in his church, on the family farm and 4H- having the achievement of raising a grand champion cow named Success two years in a row at the NYS Fair. He studied at Perry Central High School, Kent State University and SUNY Geneseo.
He spent his working years as CEO Designer/Fabricator for High Tech Classics, and Vintage Motor Sports building race cars. He also spent several years as a civil engineering designer and land planner. Big Mac loved a project, often volunteering for the Silver Lake community and even singing in the church choir.
David is predeceased by his parents Howard and Ruby McIntyre. He is survived by cousins, nieces, great nieces and nephews, step-sons, step grandchildren, a close circle of faithful and devoted friends, and of course, his companion and dog, Jack.
A celebration of life and graveside burial will be held Spring 2024. Memorials can be made to Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home, 167 N Main St, Perry, NY or First United Methodist Church, 35 Covington St, Perry, NY.
