Craig Prucha

Craig Stephen Prucha, 65, of Pavilion, passed away on July 20, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.

He was born on August 5, 1960, in Fredericksburg, VA, a son of the late Ronald and Ann Jane (Tucker) Prucha.

Craig was a devoted enthusiast of hit-and-miss engines and found great satisfaction in restoring mechanical treasures. In his younger years, he enjoyed restoring and riding BMW motorcycles, a passion that later evolved into restoring Farmall tractors. Some of his happiest moments were spent giving his grandchildren rides on those tractors, sharing both his love of machinery and cherished time with his family.

Craig was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in nature. He loved camping, fishing, and making trips to the Adirondacks, where he enjoyed the beauty of the wilderness. Whether cutting firewood or quietly watching the wildlife, Craig had a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Craig especially treasured the time he spent with his sons, Joe and Chris together; they shared countless adventures, many of which Craig enthusiastically documented on YouTube, where he enjoyed connecting with fellow enthusiasts and sharing their experiences.

Craig was known of being a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was always something profound and meaningful. He was known for giving the most thoughtful advice to his friends and family who will forever cherish his words of wisdom.

Craig is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene Prucha; sons, Joseph Prucha and Christopher (Melissa) Prucha; grandchildren, Jemma, Sienna, and Bo; brothers, James (Deanne) Prucha and Timothy Prucha; sisters, Cheryl (John) Penn and Lori (Donald) Childs; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In death, Craig is reunited with his parents, Ronald and Ann Jane Prucha; grandparents, Charles and Grace Prucha, and John and Ruth Tucker.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY. There will be a Celebration of Life at the convenience of the family. Craig will be laid to rest, with his family, in Dale Cemetery.
