Charlotte E. Wallace

Age 72, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2026, at her home in Warsaw.

Charlotte Elaine Roblee entered into this world with her twin Charlene Delaine on October 10th, 1953 in Warsaw, NY. She was the 4th child of Charles Roblee and Grace (Ebersole), sister to Paul Roblee (& Bing), Florence “Christine” (& Norm Chazen), Grace (& Jim Pierce) followed by Karin (& Bill Appleby) and Helen (& Bob Kral). Char graduated in 1971 from Warsaw Central. She married her high school sweetheart John Wallace on February 12, 1972. Together they lived in the same house (kinda), with the same landline phone number until her passing.

Char and John raised 4 children, Jenifer (yes, with 1 “N” & Tony Harper), Mary (& Chris Flaherty), Robert Wallace (& Hilary Shultz), and Kelly (& Fred Dahl). She was a very proud mother. Being a twin, Charlene’s daughter Charlotte Anne and her boys Spencer and Lander were also Charelaine’s. (I know, it's confusing, too many Chars.) Char welcomed anyone into her home. Along with her own children, Char claimed many bonus children, grandchildren and random children. One bonus child is quoted as saying “Your mom and dad took me in and shared the blueprint of family. It’s the foundation that I have built my entire life on.” We are all better people by having been part of Charlotte Wallace’s (Don’t call me MRS. Wallace) life. Every child is a member of the clean plate club because of Char. She taught us generosity and kindness and grace. She taught us to help others and to be compassionate.

Charlotte was not just a mother. In her early years she worked at Mariannes Restaurant. Over the years she worked at the Box Factory, she was a cook at Memories Restaurant, and worked at Tan & Tone (I know, I forgot about that place too). Many of you might remember Char from her last career, Walmart. She loved working at Walmart. Informally, we, her family, have all agreed that she also had a law degree and a medical practice, some might even quibble that she was astute in car mechanics. Char was a woman of high morals and values, and was not afraid to share her opinions.

A stranger was just a friend that Char hadn’t met yet. She was a sanctuary to all animals. Char had birds, many cats over the years, and a dog, Mutley, at the beginning of her marriage. She is most known to her family for being an accomplice to the squirrels and birds in the neighborhood. There wasn’t a celebration that went by where the only gift that she asked for was peanuts for the squirrels. It really got bad when she started naming them. She also whispered to all the deer that she would be willing to turn the family farm in Pavilion into a Deer Sanctuary.

Char was also very talented. She could decorate a cake that could give Buddy Valastro Jr a run for his money. She could also sew anything, just don’t look at the inside. Char was known for creating themed Halloween costumes for her grandchildren or the entire wedding party of her daughter's bridesmaids’ dresses. She was very humble about her skills. Charlotte prided herself on defying the odds of the USPS by ensuring that every birthday card was received on your exact birth day. She enjoyed playing cards with her twin Charlene and her sister in law Mary Zeches. She looked forward to her time babysitting her great nephews. The entire family looked forward to her participating in the family wordle group chat. Another favorite pastime of hers was monitoring the whereabouts of her family on Life 360 and Find My Friends.

Charlotte is predeceased by her parents and brother Paul. She is survived by her loving husband John, her sisters, children and her grandchildren, Cory Dahl, Damitre Dahl, Jordan Harper, Francis “Frankie” Dahl, Jarred Harper, Owen “O-Man” Beck, Emma Grace Flaherty, Aiden “A-Man” Flaherty, Macey Mae Dahl, Delaney Dahl, Reagan “Reagie” Bannister, Eric McDonald, Colton “Coley” Dahl, Caitlin McDonald, John “Jack” Wallace, Nolan “Noley” Bannister, Evelyn “Evie” Wallace,12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, because of her love of animals, John is asking you to make a donation to Wyoming County Animal Shelter at 4380 Rt 19 Silver Springs NY 14550 or New Start Kitty Shelter.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Charlotte’s funeral service will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Olivet Cemetery, Covington, will be held at a date to be determined.
