Age 89, of Warsaw, passed away at home on April 23, 2025.
She was born August 17, 1935 in Orangeville, NY, daughter of the late William and Carrie Brenner Amberger. She was employed for over thirty years at the former Mallory Timers Company in Warsaw; owned and operated several small retail businesses and worked at Walmart in Warsaw for several years prior to her retirement.
Midge was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Warsaw. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds and was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving are her sister, Ruth Newton of Batavia; her children, Richard Amberger of Warsaw, Karen Ford of Batavia, Shawn Ball of Warsaw, Laurie Ross of Warsaw, Thomas (Rochelle) Ball of New York City; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Midge was predeceased by her granddaughter, Karey Ball and several siblings.
Open casket calling hours will be held on Monday, April 28 from 10 – 11 AM. Closed casket calling hours will follow from 11 AM – 12 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Midge’s service will be held immediately following visitation at 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
