Caryl Arthur Robson, 89 of Warsaw, NY formerly of Silver Springs, NY passed away on April 6, 2026, after a brief illness

Caryl was born in Silver Springs, NY on November 21, 1936, to the late Arthur and Mary Luella (Decker) Robson.

He graduated Letchworth High School in 1954. Caryl went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1959-1962. He also worked at Rochester Telephone (Now Frontier/ Verizon) as a lineman for 33 years until his retirement in 1999.

Caryl married the “Love of his life” Sherilyn Norton on May 23, 1964. With this marriage they raised 2 children

He was an active member of the Silver Springs Fire Department and Rescue Squad for 70 years.

He was recently honored for his many years for dedicated service to the department. During this time he served in many capacities, including Rescue Squad Captain, Truck Lieutenant, Fire Police and many others.

Caryl was also an active member of the American Legion Post Bates Courtney 105 of Silver Spring, NY. He has served in many capacities in the Legion including Post Commander and County Commander.

Caryl will be remembered as a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Caryl never met a stranger and will be remembered for his many stories, local historical knowledge and his “gift of gab”. Caryl was well known for “going the extra mile” to help his family and friends.

Caryl was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Luella Robson and his sister, Sharon Chase

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sherilyn (Norton) Robson; His Brother, John Robson of Reynoldsburg, OH; His Children, Michael (Tracey) Robson of Valdosta, GA, Marcia (Joe) Sherman of Castile, NY; His Grandchildren, Jolene (Stephen) Evanock of Arcade, NY, Daniel (Pearl) Robson of Austin, TX, Caryl Robson of Valdosta, GA, Jonathan (Ivy) Robson of Valdosta, GA, Angela Robson of Vandenburg Air Force Base, CA, Tessa Sherman of Mt Morris, NY; His Great Grandchildren, Milo Mateo of Austin, TX and Lily Robson of Valdosta, GA

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Friday April 10, 2026, at the Robinson and Hackemer Funeral home 246 North Main Street in Warsaw, NY. Visitation will be from 1PM-3PM Friday with an American Legion Service at 3:00PM. An evening visitation will be held from 5PM-7PM with a Fire Department service at 7:00PM and Michael Robson will be giving a special tribute sharing memories and reflecting on the life of his dad, Caryl Robson.

A private cemetery service will be held later time. Also, a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
