Aline was predeceased by her husband, William Wallace “Bill” Elliott, and nine of her ten siblings.
Aline left this earth June 19, 2026, at the age of 95, peacefully, in Canandaigua, after a short illness. She was born on November 1, 1930, and grew up on the Webb estate of Shelburne Farms, Vermont. The daughter of French Canadians, Hector and Leona Beaudin, Aline was the next to the youngest of 11 children.
After graduating Cathedral High School, Aline worked in New York City for American Airlines. Meeting her husband, Bill, an Air Force sergeant stationed in Vermont, on a blind date, they were married on August 14, 1954, in Shelburne, Vermont. Aline and Bill lived in Vermont, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and finally, upstate New York, together for 66 years, until Bill’s death in 2020. Early in their marriage, Aline was a college den mother while Bill was attending Teacher’s State College in Trenton, New Jersey, often helping him with his studies.
Beloved by many, Aline loved raising children, laughing, socializing, visiting relatives and traveling. She was very fond of reading, biking, flowers, gardening, baking and singing, and sewed many outfits for her family. Active in her Catholic faith, she often took the opportunity to do charitable volunteer work, additionally fostering children for a number of years.
Arrangements are a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, at St. Michael RC Church in Warsaw, New York, followed by an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Springs, New York. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the F.F. Thompson Foundation/M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center (in recognition of their outstanding care of Aline); St. Michael RC Church; Warsaw Public Library; or the Warsaw Food Pantry.
