Alberta Reed Johnson

M. Alberta Reed Johnson, 97, of Johnson City, TN, formerly of Hermitage and Warsaw, NY went home to the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on April 24, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Hughie W. Johnson in 2011. She is survived by her children, Sharon Preussel of Phenix City, AL; Lisa Hodges of Brockport, NY and H. Wilson II (Wil) (Linda); also her grandchildren, James Waite, Philip Waite, Micah (Susan) Waite, Isaiah(Jennifer) Waite, Andrew Waite, Jason(Ryan) Hodges, Kristoffer(Tracie) Hodges, Kelly Johnson, Erik(Diana) Johnson and Matt(Brenda) Hipps, as well as 30 Great-grandchildren.

Alberta was an incredible baker and spent many years working as a home maker, as well as working for Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County, Manor Oak Nursing Home, Livingston-Wyoming BOCES and ABC School in Warsaw. Additionally, she was an organist and pianist at Hermitage Baptist Church for over 50 years. She attended Valley Chapel for several years before moving to Tennessee in 2018.

Services will be held at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St, Warsaw, NY on Friday, May 8, 2026. Calling hours 10-11AM with the Celebration of Life at 11AM. Interment immediately following at Wethersfield Cemetery, Smith Corners, Bliss, NY.
