Todd E. Macconnell

Age 50, lifelong Warsaw resident, went home to The Lord on December 26, 2020 after complications with COVID-19, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born on August 3, 1970 in Warsaw, son of the late Doug and Judy MacConnell. He was a graduate from Warsaw Central School, Alfred State College and The College at Brockport. On September 14, 1996 he married Lauren Giles MacConnell who survives.
Todd was dedicated and proud of the life he built in his 50 years with his family, in his work and his community. He will be remembered as a man who was always willing to help and did so with a smile.

Todd worked tirelessly for 24 years as Director of the Information Technology Department for Wyoming County, where he was able to help many people every day.

He volunteered for 25 years with the Warsaw Fire Department where he proudly served as Fire Chief, EMS Captain, as well as the Deputy Coordinator for Wyoming County’s Emergency Services Department. He helped with fundraisers including the annual July 4 carnival, serving as Carnival Chairman for numerous years.

Todd was also an active member of his church, Valley Chapel Free Methodist, for many years where he showed his devotion to The Lord through lending a hand with IT in the church, hosting bible study with his wife in their home, mowing the lawn and always helping others.

Surviving along with his wife, Lauren are his children, Joshua MacConnell, Kathryn MacConnell and Benjamin MacConnell all of Warsaw; his brother, Michael (Debora) MacConnell of Great Mills, MD; mother-in-law, Marietta Giles of Warsaw; father-in-law, Paul (Nancy Barnett) Giles of Brooksville, FL; sisters-in-law, Valerie (Christian) Henrici of Warsaw, Kitty (Jerry) Thompson of West Virginia; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and Judith MacConnell, Austin and Morgan Hoffman, Harley Hoffman, Cyrus and Ryan Thompson. He was the nephew of the late Ray MacConnell.
