Terrance J. Baumer

Terrance J. Baumer was born in Rochester, NY on May 21, 1942, the eldest of six children to Mary Grace Buckley Baumer and Howard Earl Baumer. Raised in the 19th Ward, Terry attended Saint Monica’s School and graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in 1959. Terry cultivated lifelong relationships along his paper route, in his altar service, during college, and eventually within the worlds of automotive, machining, and manufacturing sales.

While working at Xerox, Terry met his wife, Judy. Together, they nurtured a happy family and a successful manufacturer’s agency. As a father of three and eventual grandfather to nine, Terry led his family from Hilton, Mendon, Ft. Myers, FL and from his favorite place, Silver Lake. Terry had much to smile about. A meticulous keeper of all things, Terry had strong faith, stronger opinions, a generous heart, and much love to share.

Terry passed peacefully at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home on September 27, 2022. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and sisters Jacqueline and Mary Ann (Phil) Fiorella. Terry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy; children, Tim (Heidi) Baumer, Kelly (Mark) Paganelli, and Kim (Duncan) Douglas; nine grandchildren, Grace, Jane and Henry Baumer, JT and Charlie Paganelli, and Langton, Riley, Ripton and Will Douglas; siblings Tim (Jacquelene) Baumer, How (Sue) Baumer, and Betsey (Mitch) Shiga; sister-in-law Sue Squier and brother-in-law Don (Monica) Quistorf; beloved nieces and nephews; cherished cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Terry’s Funeral Mass will be held at St. Isadore’s Church, Perry, NY, 11 am, Monday, October 10, 2022. Family and friends are also invited to a Celebration of Terry’s Life at East Hill Creamery’s Chalet, 346 South Main St., Perry, NY, 12:30 pm, Monday, October 10, 2022.
