Rose E. Schaub

Age 84, of Warsaw, formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away on September 5, 2021 at home, under the loving care of her family following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 15, 1937 in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Kathleen Minahan Sypniewski. She worked for many years at the former Mallory Timers Company in Warsaw.

Rose was an avid bingo player and she enjoyed gardening. Rose was a talented vocalist who sang in choirs and on special occasions. Music was always a part of her life and the life of her family. She was a wonderful cook and baker who loved to bake for family, friends and neighbors. Rose was an avid baseball fan and always enjoyed following her beloved Cincinnati Reds. In earlier years, she played ball for the former Marilla Grillers.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, David Schaub, her son, Dwanne Allen Schaub and her sister, Mary Margaret Glichowski.

Surviving are her children, Debra Ann Schaub of Gainesville, David Darol (Dawn Brothers) Schaub of Buffalo, Darlene Marie (Charles) Newcomb of Warsaw, Dean Raymond (Donna) Schaub of Arcade, Doreen Ellen Schaub of West Seneca; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Carrol Hecker of East Aurora, Judy Schaub of Salinas, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, September 11 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Rose’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Johnsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Friends of Wyoming County, 4380 Route 19, Silver Springs, NY 14550.
