Oliver F. Grimsley

Age 100, of Castile, passed away on December 11, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born November 28, 1920 in Milton, CA, son of the late Oliver and Rachel Denney Grimsley. Mr. Grimsley was employed for many years as the manager of technical services for the former B.R. DeWitt Company. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a devoted husband and family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Grimsley was predeceased by his son, Greg Grimsley, his daughter, Donna Deaton and his grandson, Timothy Grimsley.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Iona Wheeler Grimsley whom he married on February 15, 1958; his children, Kevin (Patricia) Grimsley of Green Valley, CA, Connie (Gary) George of Bliss, Susan (Patrick) Gates of Piffard; his grandchildren, Lynnette Barr of Henderson, NV, Scott Grimsley of Nevada, Benjamin George of Buffalo, Joshua (Susan) George of Perry, Adam Kerwin of Castile, Caitlin George of Bliss, Nicholas (Sarah) Kerwin of Bergen, Zachary George of Bliss and nine great grandchildren.

There are no calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
