Age 88, of Warsaw, passed away on August 6, 2020 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

He was born August 13, 1931 in Batavia, NY son of the late Clifford and Florence Speed Putney. Marvin was a self employed dairy farmer for many years; having bought a farm from his grandfather in 1962. He also drove school bus for ten years for the former Sheehan Bus Company in Warsaw and spent eight years as caretaker at Camp Wyomoco 4 H camp. In earlier years, Marvin drove truck for McBride Steel Plate Company.

Marv was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Beverly Ramsey Putney, whom he married on November 3, 1952; daughter, Laurie Storms of Buffalo; son, John Putney of Rochester; two grandsons; brothers, Gordon Putney of Williamsville, Allen (Rebecca) Putney of Silver Springs; brother-in-law, Gerry (Donna) Ramsey of Warsaw; nephew, Jeremy Ramsey; special friends, Shelly (Allen) Burford of Colden; nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no calling hours. Services are private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York, 6215 Sheridan Dr., #100, Buffalo, NY 14221. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
