Lila E. Carlson

Age 97, of Warsaw, passed away on April 3, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw following a brief illness.

She was born January 4, 1923 in the Town of Wethersfield, NY, daughter of the late McKinley and Mary Elwell Prentice. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw as well as the United Methodist Women and the Mission Circle of the church.

Lila enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent baker. Her home was a gathering spot for many neighborhood kids over the years.
Lila was predeceased by her husband Channing Carlson who died in 2010.

Surviving are her sons, Craig (Judy) Carlson of Sheldon, Lynn Carlson of Warsaw; her grandchildren, Kristen Pettengill, Ashley Casey, Joe Carlson and Julia Carlson; six great grandchildren; her sisters, Reba Hilligas of Warsaw, Roberta Cartwright of Silver Springs, Carol Smith of Portsmouth, VA; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Prentice, Stanley Prentice and Dorothy Stoffer.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Warsaw Rescue Squad, PO Box 22, Warsaw, NY 14569.
