Laura Calkins

Age 71, of Warsaw, NY, passed away on March 8, 2021.

Laura was born December 30, 1949 in Canandaigua, NY, daughter of the late Harry and Ada Schultz Baldas. She had many jobs over the years but her favorite was working as a special needs aide for Campbell County, TN. Most of all Laura loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Laura is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Calkins and four siblings.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Terri) Dechau of Warsaw; her daughter, Wendy (Philip) Thompson of Jacksboro, TN; her grandchildren, Alicia (Kevin) Jennejohn, Brandon (Heather) Bearce, Casey (Megan) Bearce, Kaitlyn (Tanner) Hoffman, Kiley Dechau and Hunter Dechau; several nieces and nephews; several step-children and step-grandchildren; great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; several special friends.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 11AM-1PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A funeral service for Laura will be held immediately following visitation at 1PM. A private burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Perry, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY, 14240-0631. The funeral home is limited to 33% capacity and face masks are required.
