June W. Bliss

Age 87, of Bliss, NY, passed away on February 7, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

She was born October 31, 1932 in Warsaw, daughter of the late Howard, Sr. and Emma Burbidge Wood. June was employed as a bus driver for the Letchworth Central School district for thirty-three years. She had also worked at the Kittinger Furniture Company for several years.

June was an avid reader. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking and watching her favorite television shows.

June was predeceased by her husband of fifty-nine years, Norman Bliss who died in 2012.

Surviving are her children, Roxanne Bliss of Seattle, WA, Ricky (Tina Mole) Bliss of Bliss, NY; her grandchildren, Jeremi (Shannon) Bauer, Jaclyn Singleton, Chad (Coreen) Bliss, Tonya (Travis Abbott) Bliss, Brandon Mole; great grandchildren, Jadyn, Nakita, Cassidee, Harper, Cooper, Colton, Bryce, Carson, Brock and Grace; great great grandchild, Harper; her brother, Howard (Thelma) Wood, Jr. of Warsaw; nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of the late Riley Jo Helmer and sister of the late Robert Wood and Raymond Wood. June’s family wants to offer their heartfelt thank you to Bridget Flint for the special care she gave June.

Friends may call Friday, February 14 from 12 – 2 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where June’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fillmore Rescue Squad, 24 S. Genesee St., Fillmore, NY 14735 or the Bliss Rescue Squad, 6655 Rt. 362, Bliss, NY 14024.
