Julie Evans

Age 63, of Warsaw, passed away on March 11, 2022 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

Julie was born on October 27, 1958, daughter of the late Beverly Humphrey. She was a graduate of Warsaw Central School class of 1976. After high school, Julie attended Genesee Community College and would work as a cook at the Groveland Correctional Facility in Groveland, NY for many years.

Julie enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, and photographing the beauty of nature that surrounded her. Most of all she was an animal lover. Julie had a soft spot for German Shepherds, especially Nala, who was her own.

She’s survived by her daughters, Gena (Dalton Caryl) Evans and Shelby (Landon McCormick) Evans; her sister, Sheila Evans; her brother, Bill (Lisa) Evans; her grandchildren, Jayce McCormick and Riggs McCormick; her nieces, Haley Evans and MacKenzie Evans; her nephews, Jordan Polcyn-Evans and Jacob Polcyn-Evans; her uncle, Craig Traynor; her best friends, Marlene Treat and Myra Jakabaszek.

Friends may call on March 16 from 4:30-6:30 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
