Joan M. Flint

Age 87, of Warsaw, passed away on December 11, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 12, 1932 in the Town of Eagle, daughter of the late Maurice and Bernice Stevens Maher. Joan was a graduate of Arcade High School. She and her late husband, Kenneth owned and operated a family farm for many years. She was an energetic person who worked hard on the farm and raising her large family. Joan was known for her kindness and her capacity for unconditional love; her independence, her strong handshake and wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw.

Joan was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Kenneth B. Flint who passed away on March 31, 2004.

Surviving are her children, Steve (Michelle) Flint of Lee Center, NY, John (Suzanne) Flint of Kentucky, Diane (Randy) Smith of Silver Springs, Linda (Keith) Almeter of Silver Springs, Doug (Cynthia) Flint of Warsaw, Jeanne (Tim) Gebel of Warsaw, Jennifer Stoddard of Elbridge, NY, Russell (Regina) Flint of Warsaw; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; her sister, Virginia (the late Francis) Bolton of Enfield, NY; sisters-in-law, Barbara (the late Richard) Maher of Bliss, Ramona (Richard) Sikes, Arlene (the late Charles) (the late Melvin) Flint; her brothers-in-law, William (Elizabeth) Flint, George (Sandra) Flint, Thomas (Janice) Flint, Volney (the late Ethel) Spencer. She was the sister-in-law of the late James Flint.

Friends may call Sunday, December 15 from 3 – 7 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Joan’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 16 at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Warsaw.
