James Edward Herman

December 12, 1962 — June 19, 2021

James Edward Herman

Age 58, of Wyoming, NY, passed away at home on June 19, 2021.

He was born December 12, 1962 in Warsaw, NY son of the late Ronald F. Herman and Toni Freeman Hoy of Portageville. Jim was employed for many years as an electrician at the Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica. He was active for several years in the Youth Baseball program in Pavilion. Jim was a Cub Scout leader and committee member with Pack 16 and served as an adult leader and member of the Leadership Committee for Boy Scout Troop 6016. Jim was an outgoing person who loved people; always willing to listen. He always knew someone, no matter where he was and always left a lasting impression.

Jim was always about living in the moment whether it was camping, hunting, fishing, target shooting or enjoying live music. His passion in life, however, was his family; spending time with his wife, his children, his grandson, Jason, his dog, Izzy or his friends, who were like family to Jim.

Surviving along with his mother, Toni Hoy of Portageville are his wife and best friend of thirty-seven years, Darlene Mummery Herman; his children, Marissa (William) Corbin of Kingsport, TN, Nathan Herman of LeRoy; his grandson, Jason Corbin of Kingsport, TN; his sisters, Kelly (Evy Pugh) Herman of Caledonia, Kimberley (Thomas) Mattice of Livonia.

Friends may call Saturday, June 26 from 4 – 7 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Jim’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 7 PM.
