Age 74, of Warsaw, passed away at home on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Gerry was born in Batavia, NY, son of the late Fred and Nell Decker Ramsey of Oakfield, NY. After attending Elba School, Gerry served honorably in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, with one year in Vietnam.

After completing his military service, he worked thirty-eight years for Agway, delivering feed to farm operations primarily in Western, Central and Northern New York State.

During retirement, Gerry enjoyed the time he could spend with friends and family, working in his shop; in the great outdoors with his machines and toys and he loved watching classic westerns on television and golf with Kevin.

Along with his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his brother, Robert Neil Ramsey of Pulaski, NY in 1971, sister, Marjorie Powelczyk of Greece, NY in 1999, brothers-in-law, Marvin Putney of Warsaw in 2020, Rafael Roquez in 2001 and David M. Kiel in 2017.

Surviving along with his wife of forty-nine years, Donna Kiel Ramsey, whom he married on May 29, 1971 are his son, Jeremy Ramsey of Warsaw; his sister, Beverly Dee Putney of Warsaw; his twin brother, Ronald (Sue) Ramsey of Elba; brother-in-law, Russell P. Kiel of Varysburg; sisters-in-law, Cindy Thomas Kiel of Warsaw, Joan Kiel Roquez of Warsaw and many nieces and nephews.

Gerry’s funeral service and American Legion service will be held Wednesday, February 17 at 2 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Warsaw at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., #270, Rochester, NY 14607 or the Wyoming County Joint Veterans Council, 5362 Mungers Mill Rd., Silver Springs, NY 14550-9704 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
