Cynthia Jean Nugent Mooney

Age 70, of Ellenton, Florida, formerly of Attica, NY, passed away on May 4, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born on August 5, 1950 in Warsaw, NY, daughter of the late John Sr. and Jean Comstock Nugent.

Cindy worked for the late Dr. Frantz, DDS in Warsaw and later at the Attica Correctional Facility. She retired and moved to Florida in 2007.

Cindy had a love for all animals; she was often referred to as Mrs. Dr. Doolittle. She also loved gardening and spending time with her grandson.

Surviving are her sons, Thomas Mooney of Reno, Nevada, Kevin (Amy Charpentier) Mooney of Jacksonville, Florida and her beloved grandson, CJ; her siblings, Linda Manning of Warsaw, Jeffery (Cheryl) Nugent of Florida, Kathleen (Gary) Bogert of Warsaw, Daniel (Davina) Nugent of Warsaw. She was the sister of the late Michael Nugent, Douglas Nugent and John Nugent, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 6 beginning at noon at the Legion Hall in the Warsaw Village Park, Liberty Street, Warsaw. Private burial is in Dale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bishop Animal Shelter SPCA (bishopspca.org), Bradenton, Florida.
