Augustine W. "Gus" Youngers

Age 77, of North Java, passed away on December 6, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born August 19, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late William, Jr. and Maribell Straub Youngers. Gus was a lifetime farmer who was the third generation owner of Sregnuoy Farm. He was a graduate of Alfred State College in 1965. Gus was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Farmland Protection Board. Gus’ passion in life was his family and farming.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Kathleen McCormick Youngers, whom he married on July 2, 1971; his children, Scott (Amanda) Youngers of Holland, NY, Brian (Amy) Youngers of North Java, Melissa (Tim) Perl of Bliss, Melinda (Wade) Martin of Sheldon, Daniel (Mary) Youngers of Dansville; his grandchildren, Joe and Cate Youngers, Bill, Michelle, Meghan and Ashley Youngers, Josh, Emily and Katie Perl, Brittany Martin, Stephanie and Casey Youngers; his brother, Douglas (Karen) Youngers of New Jersey. He was the brother of the late Robert Youngers.

Friends may call Thursday, December 9 from 3 – 7 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Gus’ Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 10 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Java Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Java Rescue Squad, 4274 Route 98, North Java, NY 14113. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn during visitation and services.
